Our team includes certified crash reconstructionists, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Instructors, Seated Battery SFST Instructors, and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) instructors with deep expertise in NHTSA curriculum, DUI arrest protocols, and drug impairment investigations—including alcohol, cannabis, prescription medications, and illicit drugs. We also specialize in commercial vehicle and boating impairment incidents, hospital-based interviews, overdose investigations, and police training analysis.

Expert Service Packages

All engagements require a signed agreement and initial retainer prior to services. Our expert offerings are structured into three flexible tiers:

Tier 1. Case Review & Verbal Consultation

Includes review of reports, video, and related documents, followed by a verbal analysis and consultation via phone or video conference. Designed for attorneys seeking preliminary insight or case strategy without a formal report.

Tier 2. Case Review, Verbal Consultation & Written Report

Includes all services in Tier 1 plus a detailed written report summarizing expert findings, relevant standards, and conclusions. Suitable for use in negotiations, motions, or pre-trial filings.

Tier 3. Full Expert Package: Review, Report & Testimony

Includes case review, written report, and expert testimony in deposition and/or court. This package also covers courtroom preparation, cross-examination readiness, and post-testimony debrief.

Note: Online/remote testimony is billed at the same rate and minimum as in-person courtroom appearances.

Travel, Testimony & Additional Charges

Testimony (in-person or remote) is billed at an enhanced hourly rate with a 4-hour minimum or flat daily rate, depending on case needs.
Travel time is billed separately, along with applicable expenses for lodging, transportation, and meals.
Emergency or short-notice appearances may be subject to premium rates.

Policy Audits & Drug-Free Workplace Consulting

We also offer agency and employer support outside of litigation. Services include:

Law Enforcement Policy Audits
Internal policy and procedural reviews for DUI detection, drug impairment, arrest standards, field testing, and training protocols to identify gaps and minimize liability.
Drug-Free Workplace Policy Development
Creation or revision of workplace drug-use policies, including compliance with DOT regulations, Illinois state law, and best practices for reasonable suspicion, post-accident testing, return-to-duty protocols, and safety-sensitive positions.
